Applied AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea.

📋 Description

• Develop AI-enhanced product features seamlessly integrated into actual insurance processes.

• Create and refine LLM-based interactions across both customer-facing and internal systems.

• Generate prompts, reasoning frameworks, and structured AI outputs for practical use cases.

• Assess model performance utilizing real-world data, feedback mechanisms, and experimental approaches.

• Enhance the reliability of AI outputs through the implementation of guardrails, fallback mechanisms, and validation layers.

• Collaborate closely with backend engineers to embed AI functionalities into APIs and workflows.

• Design and execute automation features driven by AI (including chat, recommendations, and decision support).

• Examine user behavior and model responses to perpetually refine AI performance.

• Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver comprehensive AI features.

• Play a role in AI system design decisions with an emphasis on usability and real-world effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid software engineering experience in production settings.

• Proven expertise in working with LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source alternatives).

• Knowledge of prompt engineering, structured outputs, and usage patterns of tools.

• Experience in developing or integrating AI functionalities into tangible products.

• Strong grasp of API-based system integrations.

• Ability to critically assess AI outputs using data and user insights.

• Familiarity with experimentation, A/B testing, or evaluation methodologies.

• Strong product intuition and commitment to user experience.

• Comfortable operating within fast-paced, globally distributed teams.
