Applied AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop AI Agents tailored for specific tasks, encompassing multi-step reasoning, tool utilization, and independent decision-making.

• Create and execute agent workflows — integrating LLMs, retrieval systems, and external tools into dependable, production-ready pipelines.

• Connect agents with client applications, APIs, and enterprise systems.

• Assess, refine, and enhance agent performance through structured testing, tracing, and observability techniques.

• Implement and sustain generative AI solutions within production settings (APIs, microservices, cloud architecture).

• Record your progress, adhere to best practices in LLMOps, and contribute to the establishment of AI development standards at Appsilon.

• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Developers, and Analysts to embed GenAI solutions into comprehensive applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in constructing and deploying AI agents or agentic systems in production environments (beyond mere prototypes).

• Profound knowledge of LLM orchestration frameworks (such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Autogen, Claude Agent SDK, or similar tools).

• Strong grasp of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool utilization, and function calling methodologies.

• Practical experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, open-source models) and managing their lifecycle in real-world scenarios.

• Proficient programming capabilities in Python with a background in developing robust and maintainable backend services.

• Competence in evaluating and troubleshooting agent behavior, including tracing, logging, and systematically assessing multi-step workflows.

• Exceptional communication skills with a collaborative mindset towards teamwork.
