Applied AI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop innovative AI-driven product features from concept to deployment.

• Enhance current AI workflows focusing on quality, reliability, latency, and user value.

• Design and execute workflows based on LLMs, including structured outputs, validation logic, and fallback mechanisms.

• Create evaluation loops, tests, and quality assurance measures for AI-generated results.

• Incorporate AI functionalities into existing product and backend systems.

• Collaborate with both commercial and open-source LLMs without being restricted to a single provider.

• Facilitate self-hosted model workflows when beneficial for quality, speed, cost, or control.

• Troubleshoot AI feature failures across various inputs, outputs, data, backend logic, and user interactions.

• Utilize AI development tools as an integral part of your daily operations.

• Deliver quickly while maintaining high production quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient software engineering skills, particularly in Python or a similar backend language.

• Proven experience in developing AI-driven product features or workflows based on LLMs.

• Capability to transform vague product concepts into functional software rapidly.

• Strong grasp of how to design, test, validate, and enhance AI outputs.

• Experience in integrating AI workflows into live production systems.

• Excellent debugging skills across application logic, data, model outputs, and user-facing behavior.

• Familiarity with evaluation, testing, validation, or quality assurance for AI-generated outputs.

• Significant experience using AI development tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, or similar in your daily routine.

• High intelligence, rapid learning capability, proactive attitude, and a sense of ownership.

• Comfortable with ambiguity, quick decision-making, and a high-trust startup culture.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.
