Applied AI Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Evaluating and assessing the performance of AI models or algorithms by analyzing their output or behavior through a series of evaluative questions.

• Labeling specific elements within a piece of content rather than assessing the content in its entirety.

• Assigning predefined categories or labels to individual items.

• Assessing the perceived quality and/or suitability of content.

• Creating labels to enhance understanding of concepts, trends, etc.

• Generating additional training data for machine learning models by transforming the original data, such as altering images (rotation, flipping, cropping), producing new text (paraphrasing, summarization), or modifying audio/video signals (speed adjustment, pitch shifting) to mitigate overfitting and enhance dataset diversity.

• Reviewing data to determine whether a product feature functions as intended based on the project's specifications.

• Labeling model outputs to ascertain if a piece of content meets specific criteria. Examples include identifying clickbait, gaming videos, and branded content.

• Organizing or ranking items according to a defined set of preferences or criteria.

• Developing prompts or questions to elicit responses from a language model or other AI systems.

• Conducting projects that assess the relevance of content using a relevancy scale (e.g., 1-3, 1-5).

• Generating responses to prompts or questions utilizing a language model or other AI systems.

• Rewriting existing text to maintain the original meaning while improving clarity, style, and adherence to guidelines.

• Summarizing extensive pieces of text or data concisely.

• Transcribing spoken language or audio content into written form.

• Translating text or spoken language from one language to another.

• Collecting and compiling various data types for training, evaluating, or fine-tuning AI models, which may include text, images, videos, audio files, or other forms of digital content.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities field is required. Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) are highly preferred.

• Professional or expert level proficiency (C1/C2) in English is essential.
