Applications QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Create and implement QA test plans that adhere to team standards.

• Work closely with the Scrum Master, Business Analyst (BA), and Technical Architect (TA) to clarify requirements, address issues swiftly, and suggest enhancements as needed.

• Engage in debugging and defect triage processes.

• Design, execute, and document both manual and AI agent-enabled functional and regression tests.

• Organize and prioritize tasks to align with project deadlines.

• Assist in formulating and endorsing testing strategies in partnership with the QA Lead.

• Deliver small projects independently with minimal supervision.

• Guarantee release quality through Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and thorough test coverage assessments.

• Take part in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and advocate for continuous enhancement.

• Contribute to the broader objectives of the team and departmental priorities.

• Propose and carry out process improvements, especially in the integration and utilization of AI within QA practices.

• Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• More than 2 years of practical experience in a Quality Assurance team.

• At least 1 year of experience with SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, or other database scripting languages (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle, or similar systems).

• Familiarity with data warehousing tools (such as Matillion, Informatica, or dbt) and database concepts including ETL, SQL, DDL, and DML.

• Excellent communication skills, both with technical peers and business stakeholders.

• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.

• A keen sense of curiosity and a readiness to learn new QA tools, technologies, and AI-related features.

• Capability to thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environments.

• Strong skills in time management and task prioritization.

• Intermediate knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum and Kanban).

• Experience with manual and automated testing tools such as Jira and Zephyr.

• Exposure to programming or scripting languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, or Bash.

• Familiarity with AI models or AI-assisted tools for automated testing is a plus.
