Applications Engineer, Level 1

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Application Manager to deliver comprehensive application support for both our existing installed base and upcoming installations.

• Engage with customers to showcase application opportunities and possibilities that will enhance ONTO's position in the market.

• Conduct on-site tool qualification to meet customer specifications.

• Travel to customer locations to assist in optimizing tool utilization and enhancing overall experience.

• Gather feedback on future developments from the field and relay it to our engineering and marketing teams for further advancements to fortify ONTO's market position.

• Provide application support to the sales team to bolster ONTO Innovation's market share.

• Coordinate with the Application HQ group to ensure that application studies are completed according to customer requirements and within acceptable timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-15 years of experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry, preferably in related fields such as metrology or inspection.

• Proficiency in English.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

• Experience with metrology and/or inspection equipment.

• Solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, demonstrated through similar application support or process engineering roles.

• University degree (B.Sc., M.Sc., PhD, or equivalent) or an engineering degree in a relevant technical discipline (physics, chemistry, engineering, etc.).

• Familiarity with software systems and methodologies typically used in metrology/inspection, such as statistical process control, tool matching methodology, spectra modeling, defect management systems, and yield management systems is an advantage.
