Applications Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Utilize in-depth knowledge and understanding of product lines to convert customer requirements into product choices.

• Innovate new or enhanced testing methods to appeal to new clients or penetrate new markets.

• Develop product application presentations, white papers, and technical marketing materials.

• Execute tests in a laboratory setting to showcase product capabilities or produce experimental results.

• Offer technical consulting and product application training to both customers and internal teams.

• Support Engineering in analyzing customer product failures, producing related failure reports, and communicating failure analysis and recommendations to the client.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in science and engineering is required; a master’s degree or PhD in polymer science, polymer engineering, rubber technology, or polymer rheology is highly preferred.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in polymer rheology is essential.

• At least 2 years’ practical experience operating rheometers is necessary.

• Familiarity with rubber testing equipment is advantageous.

• Experience in rubber or composite manufacturing, along with strong hands-on data analysis skills, is greatly preferred.

• Fluency in English and Japanese is mandatory.

• Proficiency in additional languages is beneficial.
