This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Assist our customers throughout their journey with VarSome, encompassing pre-sales discussions, platform onboarding, and post-sales support for both cloud and on-premises deployments, while identifying new opportunities for growth.
• Function as the technical “closer” by providing expert demonstrations that connect clinical needs with VarSome Premium, Clinical, and API; oversee the customer evaluation process, address “pain points” related to variant analysis, and offer advice on lab equipment/system integrations.
• Conduct onboarding sessions for geneticists and bioinformaticians to ensure a swift “time to value”; serve as the primary lead for on-premises and private cloud deployments, coordinating infrastructure specifications (storage, network) between clients and our DevOps team.
• Optimize filtering strategies and automation to enhance platform “stickiness” while acting as a high-level liaison between customer support and stakeholders to guarantee smooth routine operations.
• Methodically collect feedback from power users to shape the product roadmap and foster strategic relationships for conference presentations and the creation of technical white papers.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Product, Marketing, and Operations to ensure product-market alignment and growth. Work alongside growth marketers to translate features into benefits for prospects, while influencing the product roadmap through prioritization.
• A Master’s or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related discipline.
• Practical experience in bioinformatics, particularly with NGS secondary and/or tertiary analysis workflows.
• A comprehensive understanding of variant classification frameworks along with in-depth knowledge of bioinformatics and IT workflows.
• The capability to distill complex bioinformatics and technical infrastructure concepts for researchers, clinicians, and IT professionals.
• Proficiency in English is essential.
• Fluency in additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, or Korean) is considered advantageous.
• Previous experience in a bioinformatics software company or roles in DevOps/SysAdmin is highly valued.
• Familiarity with regulated environments, such as IVDR, CLIA/CAP, or similar standards.
• Demonstrated experience in multicultural settings and/or providing support to international customers in a scale-up context.
