Application Sales Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Establishes relationships with the paper mill customer base to pinpoint Andritz sales opportunities.

• Performs audits and service calls on paper machines to support customers with innovative sales applications.

• Ensures that customer needs are identified and addressed promptly.

• Carries out paper machine optimization, shutdown inspections, and prepares on-site reports.

• Enhances operating efficiencies for customers by utilizing proprietary modeling software programs.

• Diagnoses customer issues and offers or assists in implementing suitable solutions.

• Reduces warranty exposure by detecting and preventing potential problems early.

• Aids paper mills in establishing proper record-keeping and completing value results platforms.

• Assists the local team in building and maintaining comprehensive databases related to customer paper machine clothing roll cover, bowed roll and mechanical specifications, installation, and product lifespan information.

• Conducts “Rezolve - press optimization studies” on local paper machines to boost productivity and enhance Andritz sales.

• Identifies and recommends new applications for machine clothing, roll covers, and bowed rolls.

• Communicates field activities, including sales opportunities, inter-company matters, and competitive issues to the relevant Regional Sales Manager.

• Prepares a monthly summary for the Regional Sales Manager detailing highlights from the previous month, a forecast of upcoming requirements, opportunities in the field, plant concerns, and competitive matters or gossip.

• Oversees an expense budget to sustain and expand business operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Engineering or Business is preferred.

• Significant maintenance, production, or sales experience in the paper or other related industries.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

• Strong entrepreneurial spirit.

• Proficient in computer skills, including a solid understanding of Word, Excel, and general database management.

• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region is required.
