This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Identify and catalogue leftover NAS file shares, CPU allocations, and object storage associated with decommissioned applications.
• Analyze data from Excel and internal tools to pinpoint candidates for decommissioning and assess outcomes.
• Engage with application owners to inform them of remaining infrastructure and secure formal deletion approvals.
• Initiate and oversee Change Requests for actions approved for decommissioning.
• Collaborate with Storage, Compute, and Platform teams to carry out the permanent removal of infrastructure.
• Monitor progress, escalations, and obstacles in Jira while ensuring accurate boards and statuses are maintained.
• Generate and distribute structured notifications, reports, and dashboards to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Follow up on pending approvals and escalate delays according to Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Enhance processes, templates, and automation to boost decommissioning efficiency.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in infrastructure management, technology project delivery, and/or enterprise-scale environments.
• Experience with business-critical applications.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Basic knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, and data manipulation.
• Strong understanding of NAS/File Storage, including mounts, shares, volumes, quotas, and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with on-premises capacity management and procedures for decommissioning CPU/Compute infrastructure.
• Awareness of cloud/on-premises object stores and data retention policies.
• Understanding of change management processes within regulated financial industries.
• Resilience, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to agile delivery.
• Knowledge of the distinction between coding and engineering.
• Working familiarity with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as VS Code, IntelliJ IDEA, and PyCharm.
• Familiarity with AI engines and assistants like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude.
• Experience with Excel data analysis and reporting, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and dashboards.
• Advanced proficiency in oral English.
• Advanced proficiency in Spanish.
