Application Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture a team of application developers responsible for building and maintaining the ConnectPath platform.

• Act as Scrum Master: facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives; eliminate impediments and protect the team from external disruptions.

• Mentor the team on Scrum and agile methodologies, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, self-organization, and accountability.

• Collaborate with the Product Manager on backlog refinement, sprint readiness, and release planning; work closely with the Architect on technical sequencing.

• Monitor and communicate sprint progress, team velocity, and delivery health metrics to stakeholders and the Senior Vice President of Product Development.

• Oversee daily operations with the offshore development team located in Argentina.

• Manage production incidents in alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including coordinating incident responses and conducting post-incident reviews.

• Ensure team outputs adhere to the architectural standards established by the Architect.

• Advocate for the integration of AI-assisted development tools within the team, in collaboration with the Product Manager and Architect.

• Stay updated on relevant technologies and introduce promising methodologies to the team for assessment.

• Supervise and cultivate staff, including hiring, performance management, coaching, and recognition initiatives.

• Organize and plan workload and team assignments effectively.

• Assess work for quality, presentation, and adherence to policies and procedures.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

• 5-7 years of relevant experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience that is equivalent.

• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) eligible to work in FedRAMP-authorized environments.

• Previous experience leading or managing a software development team (formal or informal team lead roles are acceptable).

• Experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar agile leadership role, including conducting ceremonies, resolving impediments, and coaching teams.

• Practical knowledge of SaaS platforms developed on AWS (serverless and/or containerized).

• Understanding of cloud architecture best practices (e.g., AWS Well-Architected Framework or comparable principles).

• Experience supporting production environments with SLA commitments, encompassing incident response and post-incident reviews.

• Excellent communication skills with the capability to present sprint progress and delivery health to senior stakeholders.
