This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Lead the design and execution of technology products and applications utilizing modern design patterns and best practices.
• Oversee systems installation and software testing throughout every phase of the software development lifecycle.
• Spearhead efforts to modernize and address technical debt.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and resolve software issues effectively.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security teams to create scalable, highly available, and resilient platforms.
• Ensure that application designs incorporate capacity planning, performance tuning, failover, and recovery considerations.
• Promote the adoption of cloud-native architectures, containerization, and platform engineering practices.
• Manage DEV, QA, UAT, and PROD environment strategies, ensuring consistency, automation, and governance.
• Guarantee that monitoring, logging, and alerting facilitate proactive issue detection and performance management.
• Work together on disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, including recovery testing and validation.
• Integrate security standards, patching, and vulnerability remediation into the application lifecycle.
• Aid in infrastructure cost optimization through efficient resource use and architectural decisions.
• Set long-term business and systems goals in collaboration with security, infrastructure, and business teams.
• Manage the resolution of everyday production support issues.
• Generate requirements, design documents, specifications, and Business Process Procedures.
• Ensure functional testing supports business requirements and adheres to technical standards.
• Suggest process and system enhancements.
• Document and support disaster recovery and resiliency plans.
• Lead and engage in enhancements, upgrades, patches, and remediation initiatives.
• Bachelor's Degree, ideally in Computer Science, Logistics, Transportation, or Business; relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• A minimum of 5 years in application development or technology management, or related experience; alternatively, a Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in MS-SQL/SSIS-SSRS.
• Advanced proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems.
• Beginner-level proficiency in C#/.Net/ASP.
• Beginner-level proficiency in Web Services/API.
• Strong technical aptitude in configuration management, data management, cloud solutions, information management, network security, IT architecture, infrastructure design, systems integration, and systems life-cycle management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships across all organizational levels.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Flexibility and self-direction in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
• 10% travel is required.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree.
• Preferred: Intermediate knowledge of Manhattan SCALE / SCI.
• Preferred: Intermediate experience with integration software using ANSI X12, XML, and database tables.
