This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Ideate and oversee the development of sophisticated, cloud-native platforms that leverage artificial intelligence to transform medical imaging in clinical research.

• Work collaboratively with Product Managers and Product Owners to enhance and clarify business features and requirements.

• Convert high-level business needs into precise, actionable technical specifications and architectural frameworks.

• Champion standards-compliant solutions by incorporating best practices into the definition of requirements.

• Systematically document and convey requirements to steer development initiatives.

• Design, document, and articulate scalable, multi-tenant SaaS architectures utilizing cloud-native services.

• Architect and document microservices-based systems tailored for the processing of medical imaging data.

• Establish the integration strategy for AI/ML models for medical image analysis.

• Create systems that adhere to FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, HIPAA, and global regulations.

• Participate in technical decision-making regarding technology stack selection for medical imaging and AI tasks.

• Mentor team members to promote their professional, technical, and domain expertise.


⛳️ Requirements

• Profound knowledge of cloud platforms with a robust understanding of serverless and scalable architectures.

• Expertise in designing and implementing APIs (such as RESTful, GraphQL) and real-time communication protocols.

• Familiarity with medical imaging standards (DICOM, HL7 FHIR) and specialized DICOM processing libraries (pydicom, DCMTK, GDCM).

• Significant experience with the implementation of the DICOM standard, including DICOM parsing libraries, tag manipulation, and compliance validation.

• Proficient in database design for both relational and NoSQL systems.

• Extensive experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline automation and infrastructure as code.

• Strong background in software testing, validation, and quality assurance for regulated medical systems.

• Experience with medical image viewer technologies and PACS integration.

• Awareness of AI applications in medical imaging (such as computer-aided diagnosis, image segmentation, etc.).

• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in regulated environments.

• Bachelor’s Degree (Master's or PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Additional certifications in cloud platforms (or willingness to obtain qualifications).

• Preferred training or certification in medical device software development.

• English: Fluent.
