Application and Database Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the installation, configuration, and updates of applications on both Windows and Linux servers.

• Monitor systems to proactively detect and address potential issues.

• Manage application-level access by administering roles and permissions tailored for application users.

• Conduct performance tuning through the analysis and optimization of SQL queries, index design, execution plans, and overall query performance.

• Ensure high system availability and uptime.

• Oversee incident management, providing prompt responses to outages and establishing emergency procedures.

• Implement security policies, including patch management, access controls, and identity management.

• A background with some professional experience in application management.

• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner, demonstrating a high level of personal responsibility.

• Strong conscientiousness and a robust sense of responsibility.

• Proactive mindset with an initiative-driven approach.

• Proficiency in the German language is essential.
