This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Implement alternative format regulations, industry benchmarks, and Crawford Technologies protocols.
• Acquire knowledge of and adhere to accessibility standards including WCAG, PDF/UA, and HHS criteria.
• Set up and oversee proprietary software systems, including ICF/INI files and processing logic.
• Develop, test, and sustain automated applications intended for producing accessible customer documents.
• Support document accessibility evaluations and produce assessment reports.
• Collaborate with configuration files, proprietary tools, and version control systems in both testing and production settings.
• Engage in requirements gathering, timeline estimation, and documentation of application modifications.
• Diagnose application issues utilizing diagnostic tools and advice from senior team members while managing incident tickets.
• Relay requirement modifications to the Project Manager.
• Offer training to team members and assist with occasional client training sessions.
• Continuously enhance skills in new tools, programming concepts, and accessibility best practices.
• Prior programming experience is essential.
• Proficiency in Python – Required.
• A background in development is strongly preferred.
• Experience in backend development is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Rexx is not mandatory, but highly desirable and considered a significant advantage.
• Experience with the Eclipse framework is not essential and does not disqualify applicants, but is a valued addition.
• Knowledge of print stream is preferred.
• A professional services background is highly sought after, as candidates from this sector typically possess a strong client-oriented mindset and adaptability.
• Candidates must show the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, effectively managing their own workload and priorities.

• A preferred Bachelor's degree in software development or relevant certifications along with proven applicable experience.
• At least 2+ years of experience in a technical field is required.
