Appellate Program Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Develop a strategic framework for appellate initiatives that have a long-term impact.

• Establish goals and priorities for CED Law appeals.

• Formulate and implement appellate policies and procedures.

• Manage eviction defense, homeowner defense, and affirmative appeals.

• Achieve case objectives and collaborate with CEDP for comprehensive client services.

• Finalize documentation for case management and data tracking purposes.

• Support staff training and professional growth initiatives.

• Aid in trial preparation activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Admission to the Colorado bar and possession of a JD.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a housing attorney in Colorado.

• Proficiency in both trial and appellate litigation.

• Experience with affirmative litigation in the realm of housing law.

• Background in a legal aid, legal services, or non-profit setting.

• A demonstrated commitment to social and racial justice.

• Strong inclination to prioritize client and community needs.

• Capability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment.

• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.

• Organizational skills along with familiarity with MS Office suite, CLIO, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat are preferred.
