Apigee Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead the development of our integration architecture and API ecosystem.

• Drive the design, creation, and scaling of robust middleware solutions and enterprise-level APIs.

• Architect and implement scalable API solutions utilizing the Google Cloud Apigee platform.

• Design effective middleware integration patterns using Java and Spring Boot.

• Enforce policies related to API security, traffic management, rate limiting, and caching.

• Transform legacy monolithic systems into contemporary, event-driven microservices.

• Oversee the technical delivery of integration projects from initial conception to final deployment.

• Convert complex business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications.

• Supervise code quality through thorough code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Provide mentorship to developers, eliminate technical obstacles, and ensure efficient task distribution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, including a minimum of 2 years in a Technical Lead position.

• Demonstrated success in delivering enterprise integration projects that handle substantial traffic.

• Hands-on Technical Lead with a solid project management background.

• Extensive experience in configuring and managing the Apigee API Gateway (Edge or X).

• Profound understanding of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) concepts and middleware patterns.

• Mastery of RESTful APIs, SOAP, GraphQL, JSON, and security protocols (OAuth2, OIDC, TLS).

• Production-level development experience with Java (versions 8/11/17+).

• Expert-level knowledge of the Spring Boot ecosystem (including Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Spring Data).
