Animal Safety QA Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee animal safety and quality assurance programs to ensure alignment with company standards, regulatory mandates, and customer expectations.

• Conduct investigations, perform root cause analyses, implement corrective and preventive actions, and drive quality improvement initiatives.

• Track quality metrics, identify trends, and propose process enhancements to improve product safety and operational efficiency.

• Assist with internal, customer, and regulatory audits, including all necessary preparation, documentation, responses, and follow-up actions.

• Review, maintain, and enhance quality documentation, records, procedures, and other related components of the quality system.

• Educate, mentor, and assist employees regarding quality assurance processes, animal safety protocols, and compliance requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Biology, Quality, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, animal safety, or a similar regulated field.

• Proficient knowledge of quality systems, regulatory compliance, investigations, corrective actions, and documentation practices.

• Background in animal health, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, food safety, manufacturing, or another regulated industry.

• Understanding of pertinent standards and regulations such as GMP, ISO, HACCP, FDA, EPA, or USDA requirements.

• Excellent communication, leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

• Lean Six Sigma or ASQ certification is a plus.
