This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the complete tracking architecture across all client accounts, including Google Tag Manager, GA4, CDPs (Segment, RudderStack, Teleaum, etc.), Meta Pixel + CAPI, Google Ads Enhanced Conversions, TikTok Events API, and various other ad network data pipelines. Be proficient enough in these systems to assist clients with hands-on implementation.
• Establish tagging standards, naming conventions, and data layer specifications for onboarding new clients.
• Review and approve all pixel/tag implementations conducted by the junior tracking specialist prior to going live.
• Lead tracking quality assurance processes: identify misfires, validate conversion events, and ensure data integrity across various environments (development, staging, production).
• Manage server-side tracking setups and consent-mode configurations as privacy requirements evolve.
• Create measurement plans for each client: identify the key performance indicators that matter most, determine the attribution strategy best suited for their funnel, and design a testing roadmap for the next 6–12 months.
• Design and conduct incrementality tests—such as geo-based holdouts, PSA holdout tests, and conversion lift studies—and convert results into media budget recommendations.
• Analyze and scrutinize platform-reported metrics (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, etc.); challenge results that do not withstand examination.
• Lead or participate in Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) projects—whether scoping vendor-run models or developing lightweight versions internally.
• Oversee the cross-channel attribution model: assess last-click vs. data-driven vs. time-decay approaches based on client context and document your reasoning.
• Create and maintain executive-level dashboards (Looker Studio, Looker, Power BI, or similar) that extend beyond superficial metrics to illustrate incremental business impact.
• Implement a regular reporting schedule: weekly performance updates, monthly in-depth analyses, and quarterly measurement reviews with clients.
• Compose clear, insightful narratives—not just charts—that link data to the decisions clients need to make.
• Supervise one junior Analytics/Tracking Specialist: set their priorities, review their work, and provide a clear path for their growth.
• Develop the analytics practice playbook, including onboarding templates, tracking specifications, measurement plan frameworks, and experiment design guides.
• Stay updated on the ad platform measurement landscape—monitoring changes in platform pixels, consent/privacy updates, and new incrementality products from Meta, Google, TikTok—and adjust internal practices accordingly.
• 4–7 years of experience in marketing analytics, measurement, or marketing science within a performance agency or a dynamic in-house growth team.
• Hands-on expertise in GTM: you have constructed complex container setups yourself, rather than just documenting them for a developer.
• Genuine experience with incrementality testing—you have designed a geo holdout or conversion lift test, executed it, and presented the findings to a skeptical client.
• Strong understanding of the entire ad network measurement stack: Meta CAPI, Google Enhanced Conversions, GA4 event model, server-side tagging, and the impact of privacy regulations on these elements.
• Proficiency in SQL—you can independently write queries to extract and validate raw data without needing assistance from a data engineer.
• Ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders without oversimplifying or compromising accuracy.
• Comfortable being the final authority on "is our tracking reliable?" for a portfolio of clients simultaneously.
