This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Design, develop, and sustain intricate data models within our Snowflake data warehouse.
• Utilize Snowflake Intelligence features to implement conversational data queries and AI-driven insights.
• Create and construct advanced SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate complex data sets.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Looker dashboards and LookML to effectively convey data insights.
• Engage with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Write efficient Python code for data analysis, processing, and automating recurring tasks.
• Produce engaging visualizations and presentations to share analytical insights and actionable recommendations.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices in data engineering and analytics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Over 2 years of experience in data analytics or a similar field, with substantial exposure to AI and Machine Learning applications in analytics.
• Advanced SQL expertise with experience in crafting and optimizing complex queries on large-scale datasets.
• Practical experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) and its functionalities for building, testing, and documenting data models.
• In-depth knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse concepts.
• Familiarity with Snowflake’s Data Cloud platform and its advanced AI capabilities is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Looker data visualization and LookML or comparable BI tools.
• Experience with AI agents or generative AI tools to enhance workflows is an advantage.
• Background in real-time data processing and streaming technologies for managing continuous data flows.
• Proficient in Python for data analysis and manipulation, capable of writing clean, efficient code.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and workflow orchestration tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms and services for data storage, computation, and deployment.
• Solid understanding of code versioning (Git) and continuous integration processes in a data engineering context.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, along with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
