Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain analytical data models in DBT, ensuring traceability, efficiency, and quality of datasets.

• Build and optimize advanced SQL queries in BigQuery, including the creation of tables, views, routines, and scheduled queries.

• Define, standardize, and document metrics and KPIs to ensure consistency across the organization.

• Collaborate with business teams to understand analytical needs and translate them into scalable and reusable data models.

• Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Metabase and Tableau, ensuring alignment with analytical models.

• Implement data quality testing and validation processes within DBT.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data architecture alongside the Senior Data Engineer.

• Participate in defining best practices for versioning, testing, and documentation in Git.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience in Analytics Engineering or Data Analytics with a strong focus on data modeling.

• Advanced SQL proficiency (mandatory) applied to large volumes of data.

• Solid experience with BigQuery, including dataset management, query optimization, routine creation, and scheduled queries.

• Practical experience with DBT (mandatory): modeling, tests, macros, and documentation.

• Experience in cloud environments (preferably GCP or AWS), with an understanding of their data architecture.

• Experience in creating dashboards using tools like Metabase, Tableau, or similar.

• Ability to work with business teams and translate analytical needs into scalable technical solutions.

• Familiarity with version control (Git) and best development practices.

• Ideally, a high level of English proficiency, both spoken and written.
