This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Enhance and expand current data mart constructions: claims aggregation, financial metrics, clinical metrics, and curated analytical tables that support Innovu’s SaaS platform.
• Create, test, and uphold metric SQL templates in alignment with Innovu’s canonical data model (medical claims, pharmacy claims, eligibility, provider, plan design).
• Develop and sustain data pipelines utilizing Python and SQL (Redshift, PostgreSQL, S3-based integrations).
• Assess and validate third-party data feeds during the onboarding of vendors (new data sources are integrated regularly).
• Explore data quality concerns stemming from warehouse transformation logic to final outputs.
• Generate analytical deliverables for clients and internal stakeholders (PMPM trending, cohort analysis, cost drivers).
• Compose clear documentation for metric definitions, data lineage, assumptions, and known limitations.
• Engage in a monthly rotation for support triage (incoming tickets), release management, and monitoring of mart builds.
• Take part in code reviews and contribute to team standards.
• 3-5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a quantitative analyst role where you were responsible for metric definitions.
• Proficient in SQL (window functions, CTEs, complex multi-table joins involving large datasets; experience with MPP warehouse preferred).
• Proficient in Python for data tasks (pandas, scripting, automation, testing; not limited to notebooks).
• Experience in developing metrics from raw transactional data and validating them against business expectations.
• Comfortable working across the entire stack: you’ll engage with transformation logic, warehouse tables, and documentation.
• Excellent written communication skills; you’ll document metrics for both engineers and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Git-based development workflows; including pull requests and code reviews.
