This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Design, maintain, and monitor analytical data models focused on business needs (dimensional, semantic, metrics-oriented), ensuring integrity, performance, and end-to-end traceability, integrating with existing BI tools and coordinating with the platform to guarantee operational stability.
• Build and optimize transformation pipelines, ensuring reliability, scalability, and documentation aligned with the standards and architecture set by the data platform team.
• Manage comprehensive governance of analytical data: health, updates, availability, alignment of metrics, definitions, and sources of truth, optimizing current products (dashboards, reports, self-service BI) and promoting a unified understanding of the business.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to capture analytical needs and translate them into data definitions and models in coordination with the analytics manager and BI teams to ensure strategic alignment.
• Modernize and optimize legacy BI processes, supporting the migration of traditional reports to current architectures while maintaining operational continuity.
• Manage SLAs for the availability of critical business data, coordinating with the platform to resolve incidents that impact analytics.
• Academic background in Engineering, Computing, Mathematics, or similar fields.
• Previous experience in roles related to engineering, analytics, or data platforms (minimum of 3 years), with an emphasis on production environments and operation of critical BI systems.
• Practical knowledge in the design and operation of data warehouses and lakehouses in coordination with the data platform team.
• Advanced SQL/Python skills and experience processing large volumes of information with the ability to optimize performance and troubleshoot in production.
• Proven experience with enterprise BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Quicksight) for optimization and governance.
• Experience in disaster recovery, backup of critical data, and business continuity procedures for analytical systems.
• Desired knowledge of Data Mesh principles, decentralized architectures, and understanding of Domain-Driven Design concepts applied to data.
• Skills to work with multidisciplinary teams, interpret needs, and communicate technical solutions clearly.
• Preferred experience in fintech environments, digital products, or data-intensive industries.
