This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Execute the tailored data model layer in dbt across 18 data domains, collaborating closely with the Onshore Analytics Engineering Lead.
• Design and construct dbt models throughout the complete layered architecture: staging, intermediate, and mart layers.
• Establish robust dbt testing strategies, which include unique, not_null, accepted_values, relationships, and custom tests to guarantee data quality and reliability.
• Create and enhance incremental models to efficiently manage high-volume domains processing billions of events.
• Produce and maintain detailed project documentation, encompassing column descriptions and lineage graphs, to foster transparency and facilitate team collaboration.
• Advanced expertise in dbt, encompassing model development, testing frameworks, macros, and incremental strategies.
• Exceptional SQL skills, with a strong capacity to write efficient, maintainable queries across extensive datasets.
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles, including dimensional modeling and best practices for layered architecture.
• Practical experience with AWS data services, particularly Athena and Redshift Serverless.
• Proficient in Python for data engineering tasks and pipeline support.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across various data domains and articulate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English: Advanced (essential for effective communication with global teams).
• Over 3 years of experience in Analytics Engineering or Data Modeling roles, with hands-on expertise in developing layered dbt pipelines and engaging with cloud-based analytical data platforms.
