Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Execute the curated data model layer in dbt across 18 data domains, collaborating closely with the Onshore Analytics Engineering Lead.

• Design and construct dbt models within the complete layered architecture: staging, intermediate, and mart layers.

• Establish comprehensive dbt testing strategies, encompassing unique, not_null, accepted_values, relationships, and custom tests to ensure data integrity and reliability.

• Develop and enhance incremental models to efficiently manage high-volume domains processing billions of events.

• Create and uphold detailed project documentation, including column descriptions and lineage graphs, to foster transparency and collaboration within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced expertise in dbt, covering model development, testing frameworks, macros, and incremental strategies.

• Proficient SQL skills, with a strong capability to write efficient, maintainable queries across extensive datasets.

• Solid grasp of data modeling concepts, including dimensional modeling and best practices for layered architecture.

• Practical experience with AWS data services, specifically Athena and Redshift Serverless.

• Familiarity with Python for data engineering tasks and pipeline support.

• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple data domains and clearly communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.

• English: Advanced (necessary for effective communication with global teams).
