Analytics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Execute the established data model layer in dbt across 18 data domains, collaborating closely with the Onshore Analytics Engineering Lead.

• Create and develop dbt models throughout the complete layered architecture: staging, intermediate, and mart layers.

• Implement extensive dbt testing strategies, encompassing unique, not_null, accepted_values, relationships, and custom tests to guarantee data quality and dependability.

• Design and enhance incremental models to efficiently manage high-volume domains processing billions of events.

• Produce and sustain comprehensive project documentation, including column descriptions and lineage graphs, to promote transparency and teamwork.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced expertise in dbt, covering model development, testing frameworks, macros, and incremental strategies.

• Proficient SQL abilities, with a strong capacity to write efficient, maintainable queries across extensive datasets.

• Thorough understanding of data modeling principles, including dimensional modeling and best practices for layered architecture.

• Practical experience with AWS data services, especially Athena and Redshift Serverless.

• Familiarity with Python for data engineering activities and pipeline support.

• Capability to collaborate cross-functionally across various data domains and convey technical concepts effectively to stakeholders.

• English: Advanced (essential for effective communication with global teams).

• Over 3 years of experience in Analytics Engineering or Data Modeling positions, with hands-on proficiency in building layered dbt pipelines and working within cloud-based analytical data platforms.
