This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Take charge of planning and staffing for launches in the UK and new regions, as well as special teams. Develop and uphold guardrail metrics.
• Gain a working understanding of the underlying data, including demand signals, agent rosters (team, title, country), agent activity (delivered hours, status), and license demand.
• Manage demand forecasts for checkouts and app launches in Canada, the UK, and new regions.
• Provide reports on forecast accuracy and outlook for the UK, Canada, and other geographical areas.
• Offer real-time management advice to Customer Operations (UK) regarding agent productivity.
• Curate AI knowledge for Customer Operations (UK) and forecasting related to UK Infrastructure.
• Create and maintain forecasting models using time series analysis, regression, and machine learning to assist with contact forecasting, headcount planning, and budgeting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define planning and forecasting challenges, develop supporting metrics and diagnostics, and aid in high-quality decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for productivity and efficiency improvements through budget and financial performance data.
• Present recommendations to leadership, facilitate timely decision-making, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with operational planning and other analytics teams to understand the business context for headcount and workforce scheduling, and acquire the necessary data for accurate forecasts.
• Remain up-to-date with the business and our evolving technical environment.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, industrial engineering, operations research) with over 5 years of experience in solving forecasting, planning, or related quantitative challenges.
• Strong expertise in SQL and Python or R, along with practical experience on a modern cloud-native data platform (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar).
• Practical experience with AI/LLM tooling throughout the analytics workflow: crafting, validating, and refining AI-generated SQL and Python, and incorporating AI outputs into analyses that stakeholders can trust.
• Experience in building optimization models using linear programming techniques (e.g., CPLEX, Gurobi) is an advantage.
• Extensive experience in developing and validating statistical forecasting models, with a disciplined approach to performance measurement, backtesting, and thorough error tracking.
• Demonstrated ability to independently structure ambiguous problems and select the appropriate analytical methods without predefined guidance.
• Clear and persuasive communicator with strong stakeholder management capabilities, able to influence senior leaders across both technical and non-technical audiences.
