Analyst I – Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage complete analytics workflows: establish success metrics, generate insights and hypotheses, and create scalable data models.

• Identify and implement enhancements across the developer and analytics lifecycle: detect bottlenecks, assess their impact, and collaborate with teams to ensure alignment and achieve measurable results.

• Develop and sustain high-quality analytics foundations: set best practices for testing, alerting, documentation, and code review to guarantee data accuracy, reliability, and trustworthiness.

• Assist in identifying and organizing essential business metrics, enhancing discoverability, alignment, and clarity among teams.

• Persistently explore ways to implement improved operational workflows and more efficient analytics solutions.

• Enhance the analytics community at Affirm: contribute to shared tools, review colleagues' pull requests, promote knowledge sharing, and foster cross-team collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in an analytically-focused role (analytics, consulting, finance, etc.); ideally previous experience as an Analytics Engineer, Business Intelligence, or Data Analyst.

• Proficient working knowledge of SQL (preferably Snowflake).

• Familiarity with analytics development tools such as Git, Sigma, DBT, Snowflake, Claude Code, and Cursor.

• Practical and theoretical understanding of A/B testing is an advantage.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Capability to think creatively and critically while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic, and frequently ambiguous work environment.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitatively intensive field such as statistics, math, finance, or economics is preferred.

• A touch of laziness to seek efficient methods for completing less enjoyable tasks.
