This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Responsible for reviewing, validating, and assigning the appropriate CPT, ICD-10, Modifiers, and HCPCS codes for inpatient, outpatient, and physician office/clinic environments.

• Complies with all coding and regulatory guidelines.

• Keeps updated on coding and billing changes, as well as payer-specific coding regulations for multi-specialty medical practices.

• Engages in communication with providers and team members to address coding-related concerns.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or its equivalent, or the highest degree attained post-high school.

• Associate degree is preferred.

• Minimum of two (2) years of professional coding experience.

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification is required.

• Maintains awareness of governmental and commercial payer regulations.

• Proficient in computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet management, and database data entry, along with strong mathematical abilities.
