This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
β’ Develop scalable algorithms: Engage in forecasting, pricing, and optimization solutions that operate effectively across extensive and intricate data sets.
β’ Influence technical direction: Participate in design discussions for high-volume data processing.
β’ Collaborate and enhance: Work in close partnership with Product, Data, and Delivery teams.
β’ Advance and refine systems: Assist in enhancing the robustness, performance, and scalability of models, workflows, and distributed systems.
β’ Engineering expertise: Practical experience in designing, developing, or deploying algorithms or data models (e.g., forecasting, pricing, optimization).
β’ Technical foundation: Strong working knowledge of Python and various components of the modern data stack (e.g., SQL, Pandas, Polars, DuckDB, NumPy, SciPy; familiarity with Dask or PySpark is advantageous).
β’ Data curiosity: Interest in engaging with large-scale or high-frequency data sources such as smart meter, weather, or IoT data.
β’ Communication and teamwork: A clear communicator who collaborates effectively, asks insightful questions, and shares progress transparently.
β’ Passion for energy and impact: Experience in SaaS or software environments is beneficial; prior exposure to the energy sector or a strong desire to learn about the domain is a plus.
