Air Traffic Control Training – Part Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Deliver operational assistance to the TFDM program office and field facilities prior to and during system implementation.

• Coordinate activities and facilitate communication between TFDM personnel and field facilities.

• Provide training using validated TFDM Air Traffic instructional materials.

• Travel up to 75% as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 9 or more years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 7 or more years of experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Extensive experience in the design, development, and implementation of NAS air traffic modernization projects.

• In-depth knowledge of air traffic operations and procedures in both en route and terminal environments.

• Familiarity with TFDM functionality.

• Experience in integrating efforts involving decision support systems.

• Proven experience in supporting and communicating with operational field facilities during system deployment.

• Ability to communicate effectively with FAA organizations, including AMO, AJV, AJT, AJW, and NATCA.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Understanding of FAA Order 7110.65 and its application within the NAS.

• Knowledge of FAA automation and traffic management systems.

• Capability to meet FAA resume and security approval standards.

• US Citizenship required.

• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

• Willingness to travel as needed.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, utilizing both technical and user-friendly language.

• Strong multitasking abilities and capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Proficiency in research and analysis of highly technical information and systems.

• Skills in communication, analysis, troubleshooting, creative problem-solving, and issue resolution.
