AI/ML Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain production ML systems: Contribute to current ML-based services, from training pipelines to optimizing performance in production.

• Take ownership of services from start to finish: Design, construct, and uphold production services - from a proof of concept to a fully functional cloud deployment.

• Collaborate with product and data science teams: Partner with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to convert research and business inquiries into deployable ML solutions.

• Gain insight into the platform: To support the above, you will work with Databricks, AWS, and other tools to analyze, comprehend, and present the data, metrics, and insights necessary for making informed decisions regarding the platform.

• Contribute to team standards: Review not only the code but also the ML aspects of the work - including evaluation standards, model documentation, and more.

• Utilize AI tools: Employ Claude Code and agentic programming tools to expedite the boilerplate, allowing you to concentrate on the modeling decisions that truly matter.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional programming expertise and strong proficiency in Python.

• Familiarity with Java is advantageous.

• Understanding of traditional machine learning tools and methodologies (e.g., support vector machines, gradient boosting).

• Knowledge of LLMs and their architecture, with experience in fine-tuning methods such as LoRA or distillation being a plus.

• Proficient in SQL, with knowledge of Databricks considered a plus.

• Acquainted with cloud technologies, such as AWS.

• Demonstrated experience as an AI/ML Engineer.

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Solid foundation in mathematics, probability, statistics, and algorithms.
