AI Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You provide guidance and evaluate both internally developed and externally sourced AI systems, Generative AI applications, LLM-based workflows, and agentic AI solutions with a focus on security.

• You carry out AI threat modeling, risk assessments, security reviews, and architecture evaluations for software, cloud, and AI environments.

• You create and implement Secure AI-by-Design and Security-by-Default principles, establishing security requirements for AI-driven systems.

• You identify and evaluate risks such as prompt injection, jailbreaking, data leakage, model poisoning, adversarial attacks, and insecure agent integrations, while developing suitable mitigation strategies.

• You conduct AI red teaming, technical security assessments, and reviews to enhance the security of LLM platforms, agentic AI solutions, and AI service integrations.

• You develop automated security controls and embed AI security checks within DevSecOps, CI/CD, and MLOps processes.

• You set up monitoring and detection capabilities for AI applications and work alongside Security Operations teams to investigate security incidents and abuse patterns.

• You guide engineering, product, and business teams on the secure implementation of AI and assist in the deployment of new AI solutions through training, standards, and best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• You possess a degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, or a related field.

• You have several years of experience in Security Engineering, Application Security, Cloud Security, or a similar Cyber Security domain.

• You have hands-on experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), contemporary AI platforms, and cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

• You are familiar with threat modeling, security assessments, architecture reviews, and modern practices in DevSecOps, CI/CD, or MLOps.

• Knowledge of AI security frameworks and standards such as the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, MITRE ATLAS, NIST AI RMF, or similar methodologies is advantageous.

• Ideally, you have experience with AI Red Teaming, RAG architectures, vector databases, agentic AI concepts, or regulatory frameworks like ISO 27001, NIS2, and the EU AI Act.

• You combine strong analytical skills with a security-first perspective and a structured, solution-oriented approach to your work.

• You are an effective communicator capable of conveying complex technical subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• You are fluent in both German and English, in written and spoken forms.
