AI Product Builder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will take ownership of a specific AI workstream. Depending on your experience, you may either lead this initiative independently or collaborate with a senior PM who will serve as your main mentor. In either scenario, you'll be closely engaged with users, technology, and the future of AI products.

• Our pace is rapid, we are passionate about our craft, and we are at a stage where strong product judgment can significantly influence the platform's trajectory.

• You’ll be at the forefront of n8n’s growth, working closely with teams in Engineering, Design, Data, Product Marketing, DevRel, Community, Support, and Customer Success.

• This position does not pertain to an ML platform or research role. We seek individuals who have practical experience building with AI, whether through production products, robust prototypes, public projects, agent workflows, evaluations, or tools that real users have interacted with.

• Areas of focus may include:

• AI Trust: Ensure the AI on n8n is reliable and trustworthy. This workstream emphasizes evaluations, observability, traces, guardrails, reliability, latency, cost, debugging, and human-in-the-loop patterns — transforming “AI works in demos” into “AI works in production.”

• AI Building / Super Agent: Develop n8n into an AI-first product. This workstream centers on Super Agent, custom memory, Skills, computer and browser usage, files, chat-first building, and proactive suggestions — fostering an environment where AI collaborates with the user, rather than just serving them.

⛳️ Requirements

• 🧱 Proven builder: You have actively created with AI, not merely discussed it. This may include shipped products, serious prototypes, public projects, agent workflows, evaluation suites, or tools utilized by real people.

• 🤖 AI-native mindset: You regularly engage with tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, n8n, or similar, and stay informed about the latest developments in the AI product landscape.

• 🧪 Evaluation expertise: You have constructed or significantly influenced evaluations, rather than just conversing about them.

• 🛠️ Tool literacy: You possess an understanding of tool loops, planners, scaffolding, context management, and the practical limitations of agentic systems.

• 🎯 Strong product instincts: You analyze trade-offs, user value, product quality, and discern what should or should not be developed.

• 🎨 UX sensibility: You recognize what constitutes good design and can articulate the reasons behind why one product excels while another falls short.

• 🧭 Ability to navigate ambiguity: You can impose order on chaos, structure vague problems, and make headway amidst numerous potential paths.

• 📝 Effective communication: You express ideas clearly, reason from foundational principles, and can rally others around your perspective.
