AI Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain scalable machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data-platform services that support production features from start to finish.

• Manage LLM applications in a production environment: memory-enabled chat, retrieval systems, prompt management, version control, and experimentation processes.

• Develop and maintain structured evaluation pipelines (including golden datasets and regression tests) to ensure confident deployment of changes.

• Oversee AI/ML observability and monitoring tools, tracing and debugging model performance in production using platforms like Langfuse or MLflow (proficiency in either is sufficient).

• Integrate and provide LLM-agnostic model backends (e.g., Anthropic models via Bedrock and Vertex) and facilitate deterministic/custom ML solutions where open-source models may not suffice (such as document/PDF parsing).

• Contribute to the data lineage, governance, and compliance as the platform evolves.

• Collaborate closely with product teams and the wider group to accelerate progress without compromising quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid software engineering experience with a track record of developing and managing scalable, cloud-native SaaS solutions in production (beyond just working with notebooks).

• Practical experience in operating LLMs and AI systems in production environments: including prompting, evaluation, observability, and monitoring.

• Proficient in AI-native workflows, utilizing AI coding tools on a daily basis, and capable of steering them rather than merely following instructions.

• Strong command of Python and familiarity across the technology stack (a backend focus is acceptable).

• Experience with data pipelines and ML/AI infrastructure on platforms such as GCP or AWS.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; comfortable working during US hours and integrated within a client team.
