AI Partner Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Immerse yourself in each function prior to developing any solutions — understand the actual workflows, identify processes that merit automation, and create them using the platform stack the team is constructing. The focus is on production adoption rather than a polished demonstration.

• Set up and implement the End User Workbench for every function you assist — customized to reflect the team's genuine working practices, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

• Define, develop, and deploy agentic workflows in production across various business functions such as legal review, financial operations, marketing, HR, and revenue. These are not merely prototypes.

• Assess AI-native vendor solutions in collaboration with the functions you support — distinguishing true capability from marketing hype and providing honest recommendations on whether to build or buy. Recommend existing solutions when available; if not, develop them.

• Collaborate with team members on real challenges until they can define, create, and manage their own agent workflows. Success is measured when the teams you support can ship independently.

• Assist your partners in understanding agent ownership — what it entails to sustain a workflow without prior software experience. You'll address these questions through practical application rather than theoretical discussions.

• Relay field insights back to the platform. The knowledge you gain from deployment influences the evolution of the End User Workbench — and in some instances, you will directly integrate solutions into it.

• Collaborate with Legal, Privacy, and Security to ensure data boundaries are integrated into every workflow from the beginning — not added as an afterthought.

• Document effective practices — configuration templates, workflow patterns, and deployment strategies that expedite and secure future engagements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in developing and deploying technology solutions that operate in production — including agentic workflows and LLM-powered applications, as well as automation pipelines and custom integrations designed for specific business functions.

• Strong product management skills combined with engineering execution. You can identify the true needs of a non-technical team — not just their requests — and convert them into actionable buildable items.

• Excellent judgment regarding the AI vendor landscape — you keep abreast of innovations, discern real capabilities from marketing claims, and can effectively argue for a build-versus-buy decision.

• Ability to foster trust with non-engineering teams and remain engaged during gradual, non-linear organizational transformations. You are patient without being passive.

• Effective communication in both directions — you can clarify agentic workflows to individuals unfamiliar with coding, and articulate the complexities of automating business processes to engineers. Both messages must resonate.

• Comfort with uncertainty. The operational framework for this role will be developed concurrently with you — you find this stimulating rather than unsettling.

• Genuine understanding of the implications of working with sensitive data — including location, relationships, and minors. You view data boundaries as integral design elements, not mere compliance hurdles.

• A background that encompasses technical delivery and cross-functional collaboration — whether in solutions engineering, corporate IT, AI product development, or a combination thereof. The specific title is less important than the actual experience.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
