This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with various teams within the organization to analyze existing workflows and pinpoint valuable opportunities for AI automation.
• Determine which tasks to automate, which to assist with, and which should remain human-driven.
• Develop and implement production-ready AI agents and workflows from start to finish.
• Integrate AI solutions with BigQuery, Jira, Confluence, Slack, Google Workspace, and Salesforce.
• Create shared infrastructure that includes connectors, reusable skills and templates, retrieval and memory layers, and scalability standards.
• Document solutions and provide training to users to facilitate adoption.
• Evaluate adoption rates, hours saved, and reliability; refine solutions post-launch as needed.
• Establish guardrails, human approval processes, logging, and evaluation within workflows.
• Implement standards for identity, auditability, safety, data governance, and vendor risk.
• Stay updated on advancements in AI and offer practical recommendations.
• Report to the head of AI Ops and operate within the company’s governance and standards framework.
• Over 4 years of experience in software, applied AI, data, or automation engineering, including transitioning solutions from prototype to production.
• Practical experience in developing agentic AI with multi-step agents that utilize tools, maintain context, and perform real actions.
• Proficient in Python or similar programming languages.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, tool and function calling, API integration, and grounding against real data.
• Direct experience with Claude Code and the Anthropic Claude API, Google Vertex AI, or similar agent-building platforms.
• Strong systems thinking capabilities, including recognizing dependencies, edge cases, and potential failure modes.
• Ability to comprehend business processes, implement automations, and encourage user adoption.
• Effective communication skills with non-technical teams and senior leadership.
• Proactive approach to shipping and measuring outcomes while adhering to security, identity, and data governance protocols.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with the Atlassian ecosystem or experience in building automations for operations, go-to-market, or finance teams is advantageous.
• Located in North America with the flexibility to work across North American time zones.
