AI Marketing Specialist, SEO Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and implement all-encompassing SEO strategies that align with client business goals within e-commerce, DTC, and consumer brands.

• Perform keyword research, site assessments, and competitive analyses to uncover growth potential in both traditional and AI-focused search spaces.

• Regularly evaluate and report on SEO performance indicators, offering actionable insights and clear recommendations to clients and internal teams.

• Track rankings, organic traffic, and AI citation frequency, modifying tactics based on performance analytics.

• Enhance client content and digital assets for visibility in LLM-powered search engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Claude).

• Formulate and implement strategies to increase the frequency and favorability with which client brands are mentioned in AI-generated responses and suggestions.

• Stay updated on the rapidly evolving landscape of how LLMs source, rank, and cite information, translating these changes into actionable client strategies.

• Establish and maintain systems for tracking “AI share of voice” across generative search platforms.

• Work with content teams to develop strategies that fulfill dual objectives: ranking in traditional search and being recognized by AI systems as reliable, authoritative sources.

• Create and manage effective link-building campaigns to boost domain authority and AI discoverability.

• Identify valuable external partnership opportunities, guest posting placements, and pertinent industry directories.

• Oversee and manage backlink profiles to preserve a strong online reputation.

• Create and manage content briefs, supervise article creation, and conduct QA to ensure high-quality outputs across all content deliverables.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Content, Creative, Paid Media, Marketplaces, Retention) to execute integrated marketing campaigns.

• Present complex SEO and GEO insights to clients and stakeholders in clear, understandable terms.

• Assist the Associate Director in developing proprietary methodologies, playbooks, and reporting frameworks for AI marketing services.

• Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and experimentation, disseminating AI search best practices throughout the broader Darkroom organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in managing SEO strategies for e-commerce, consumer, or digital-first brands.

• Demonstrated success in driving organic traffic growth, improving keyword rankings, and executing ROI-focused SEO campaigns.

• Proficiency in SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or Moz.

• Agency experience is highly desirable.

• In-depth knowledge of on-page SEO, link-building, technical SEO, and structured data best practices.

• Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to convert data into actionable insights and client-ready reports.

• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is advantageous.

• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, with the capacity to present complex concepts clearly.

• Flexibility to adapt to the ever-evolving search engine algorithms and emerging AI search platforms.
