AI Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilize expertise in OneStream, AI, and enterprise software to assist clients in delivering transformative AI solutions within the OneStream framework.

• Execute hands-on implementations focused on AI, oversee expansion projects, and manage established deployments.

• Engage and collaborate with developers, sponsors, and executives while presenting ideas and solutions.

• Coordinate the SensibleAI Portfolio with the OneStream core platform to provide modular solutions for intricate financial and analytical needs.

• Create reusable demonstrations, implementations, checklists, workflows, best practices, and instructional videos.

• Identify and resolve issues related to AI solutions in the field; document decisions and trade-offs made.

• Provide structured guidance to Delivery and Partner teams.

• Work with AI Delivery to strengthen solutions for production and collaborate with AI Engineering to integrate insights and product gaps into future roadmaps.

• Partner with finance and data teams; collaborate with partner FDEs to enhance ecosystem capabilities and consistency.

• Facilitate workshops and office hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a relevant blend of education and experience.

• 0–2 years of experience in software engineering, particularly focused on data science, AI, or machine learning concepts.

• 1–2 years of industry experience in Applied Artificial Intelligence and/or Machine Learning.

• 1–3 years of experience in delivering or implementing enterprise software solutions in FP&A/CPM/EPM or data/AI platforms, including at least 1 year in customer-facing build roles.

• Proven success in contributing to POCs or early implementations that evolved into scaled rollouts or productized assets.

• Strong proficiency in SQL.

• Experience in data modeling and ETL/ELT processes.

• Familiarity with REST APIs.

• Basic understanding of identity and security principles.

• Proficiency in Python and/or C#.

• Experience in automation and packaging.

• Familiarity with containerization is an advantage.

• Ability to produce insightful data visualizations of complex concepts and datasets.

• Direct experience with OneStream implementation or in building Genesis Blocks / Marketplace content is preferred.

• Previous experience in Forward Deployed Engineering is preferred.

• Capability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for finance stakeholders.

• Depth in one or more areas such as forecasting, LLM applications, or CPM modeling, accompanied by a broad understanding of data, integrations, and platform operations.

• A hypothesis-driven approach and comfort operating amidst ambiguity.

• Strong practices in documentation and diagramming.

• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Delivery, CS, Presales, and Partners.

• Skill in giving and receiving design feedback.

• Capacity to design for reuse and contribute to internal standards.

• Ability to apply data privacy and governance guidelines in solution design.

• Comfortable presenting and engaging with management-level executives.
