This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.
• Oversee the strategy, implementation, and successful completion of various AI projects, ensuring that they align with scope, timelines, quality standards, and business goals.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to AI Engineers by establishing clear objectives, offering coaching, and fostering a high-performing project team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from product, science, clinical, operations, and engineering to establish requirements, priorities, milestones, risks, and success metrics.
• Convert stakeholder requirements into technical roadmaps, delivery plans, and resource strategies for AI-driven products and platforms.
• Direct solution design, software development, model integration, testing, deployment, and operational support throughout the AI project portfolio.
• Promote robust AI research and engineering practices within the team.
• Manage dependencies, eliminate obstacles, and communicate project status, risks, and trade-offs effectively to leadership and stakeholders.
• Balance innovation and experimentation with execution discipline, scalability, reliability, and compliance considerations.
• Play a role in hiring, onboarding, team structuring, and the ongoing enhancement of delivery processes and engineering standards.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, machine learning, or similar technical roles.
• At least 2 years of experience in leading teams, managing technical programs, or overseeing cross-functional delivery efforts.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering AI/ML or data-driven software solutions from initial concept to production.
• Strong expertise in Python and familiarity with contemporary AI/ML tools, backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Experience with cloud-based architectures and the production deployment of software or AI solutions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and drive alignment amidst competing priorities.
• Excellent people leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Dedication to delivering high-quality, secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, biotech, or other regulated sectors is advantageous.
• Knowledge of generative AI, LLM-enabled workflows, retrieval systems, or AI-assisted product functionalities is a plus.
