AI Engineer – LLM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop new AI-driven product features from conception to deployment.

• Enhance current AI processes for quality, reliability, speed, and user benefits.

• Design and execute workflows based on LLMs, including structured outputs, validation mechanisms, and fallback procedures.

• Create evaluation loops, tests, and quality assurance measures for outputs generated by AI.

• Incorporate AI functionalities into existing products and backend infrastructures.

• Collaborate with both commercial and open-source LLMs without being restricted to a single provider.

• Facilitate self-hosted model workflows when they are advantageous for quality, speed, cost, or control.

• Troubleshoot failures in AI features across various inputs, outputs, data, backend logic, and user interactions.

• Utilize AI development tools as an essential part of your daily routine.

• Deliver quickly while maintaining high production quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient software engineering skills, particularly in Python or a similar backend language.

• Proven experience in developing AI-powered product features or workflows based on LLMs.

• Capability to swiftly transform vague product concepts into functional software.

• Comprehensive understanding of designing, testing, validating, and refining AI outputs.

• Experience in integrating AI workflows into live production systems.

• Strong debugging skills across application logic, data, model outputs, and user-facing interactions.

• Familiarity with evaluation, testing, validation, or quality assurance processes for AI-generated outputs.

• Significant experience using AI development tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot, or similar tools in your daily activities.

• High intelligence, rapid learning ability, a proactive approach, and a sense of ownership.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making quick decisions, and thriving in a high-trust startup atmosphere.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.
