AI Engineer, Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and implement AI agents capable of executing NLP-driven data generation, automated data enrichment, and advanced data reasoning within Databricks.

• Create "Chat with your Data" functionalities, enabling stakeholders to interact with the data warehouse using natural language queries.

• Integrate large language models (LLMs) into data workflows to enhance automation and intelligence.

• Build scalable data models that cater to analytics and AI applications.

• Introduce AI-based improvements such as anomaly detection and data enrichment.

• Partner with data, analytics, and engineering teams to enhance data reliability.

• Improve the performance and scalability of data and AI workflows.

• Facilitate automation through CI/CD methodologies.

• Maintain high data quality, traceability, and manageability across data pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Databricks & AI Architecture (Essential)

• - Significant experience with **Databricks Lakehouse architecture**.

• - Preferable knowledge of Databricks Mosaic AI and Unity Catalog for managing AI assets.

• - Practical experience in developing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines utilizing Vector Search.

• **SQL & Data Modeling (Essential)**

• - Proficient in advanced SQL development.

• **AI Engineering & Data Workflows (Essential)**

• - Experience in incorporating **LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)** into data workflows.

• - Practical experience using AI for:

• - Data enrichment.

• - Anomaly detection.

• - Automated classification.

• - Familiarity with **LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworks**.

• - Exposure to **Model Context Protocol (MCP)** or similar techniques for connecting AI models with external tools and data sources.

• - Comprehensive understanding of **Tool Calling / Function Calling**: allowing LLMs to securely interact with SQL databases and external APIs.

• - Experience in **Prompt Engineering and Guardrailing**: crafting system prompts that uphold context and hierarchy (e.g., understanding team associations).

• **Platform & Engineering Practices (Preferred / Medium)**

• - Familiarity with **GitHub workflows**.

• - Knowledge of **CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar)**.

• - Experience working with **YAML/YML configuration files**.
