AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to prioritize and implement our product roadmap.

• Take ownership of the complete development process for new AI features, ranging from rapid prototyping to full integration into our core product.

• Produce reliable, scalable, and thoroughly tested code.

• Assist in defining and establishing best practices that form the foundation of a high-performing engineering team and culture.

• Work alongside Design and Operations teams to continuously enhance Aleph.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in software engineering; candidates with a solid foundation in AI engineering are preferred.

• Strong comprehension of LLMs, RAG systems, Agents, and Multi-Agent architectures.

• Familiarity with systems such as DeepResearch, Text2SQL, or Chat with Data (actively developing new features).

• Technical stack includes: Python, Google ADK (preferred), FastAPI, Tabular (preferred), and Ruff.

• Understanding of AI agent frameworks.

• Experience in testing with pytest.

• Proficient with both relational and non-relational databases (BigQuery, PostgreSQL, PGVector, MongoDB).

• Strong data manipulation skills: querying data warehouses, performing operations such as pivoting and drill up/down, etc.

• Experience in designing scalable and resilient solutions (including monoliths, microservices, and micro-frontends).

• Proficient in conversational English: prepared to communicate in English throughout the day.

• Exceptional clarity in explaining technical concepts (essential).

• Demonstrated autonomy, proactivity, and strong critical thinking (adaptable to a startup environment).

• Proven track record of impact and ownership in previous projects.

• Good interpersonal skills and a keen interest in teamwork.

• Familiarity with Scrum or Agile methodologies.
