AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• You will assist in enhancing our current ML-driven products and developing new features and services utilizing LLMs.

• A key aspect of this role involves context engineering — crafting the appropriate inputs, retrieval techniques, and prompt configurations to achieve optimal outputs from LLMs in a production environment.

• You will also lend your support to our software engineering initiatives as necessary, serving as a bridge between ML and software engineering within the team.

• Your work will be within the Machine Learning Team, where we develop LanguageWire's machine translation (MT) and related services to oversee and anticipate its performance.

• The team comprises ML Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Full Stack Software Engineers.

• Daily collaboration across these fields is expected, and we appreciate individuals who can navigate seamlessly between ML experimentation and production engineering.

• You will be accountable to the team leader.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3+ years of pertinent experience in areas such as ML engineering, AI engineering, or software engineering with a strong emphasis on ML.

• Practical experience with LLMs and prompt/context engineering — whether through professional roles or significant personal projects.

• Familiarity with best practices and the development of production-grade systems in Python. Knowledge of additional programming languages is a plus.

• Experience in designing and assessing experiments.

• A robust analytical mindset — you approach problems through hypotheses, baselines, and measurable results.

• A strong enthusiasm for the rapidly changing landscape of LLMs and associated tools.
