This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take charge of the architecture and implementation of production-quality LLM systems and traditional ML solutions.
• Design, assess, and enhance RAG pipelines (retrieval strategy, chunking, indexing, monitoring).
• Develop scalable, production-ready LLM services and agentic workflows, in conjunction with conventional ML systems where suitable.
• Determine architectural trade-offs (LLM vs traditional ML, fine-tuning vs RAG, hosted vs self-managed models), emphasizing system-level optimization (latency, cost, scalability, reliability).
• Architect and fine-tune distributed GenAI and ML workloads on Databricks (Spark, MLflow), utilizing a profound understanding of the platform ecosystem.
• Establish evaluation frameworks to assess quality, hallucination, and performance.
• Transition systems to production with appropriate CI/CD, monitoring, rollback, and versioning protocols.
• Independently create AI solutions customized to client needs, converting business requirements into scalable architectures.
• Steer technical decisions during client engagements and actively engage in pre-sales architecture discussions.
• Mentor team members and establish best practices for GenAI and ML.
• Over 5 years of experience in Data Science or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering LLM-based systems to production (not limited to PoCs), along with a background in traditional ML projects.
• Strong practical experience with RAG, agents, and open-source LLMs.
• In-depth understanding of system-level trade-offs (latency, cost, scalability, reliability) and experience in optimizing production systems accordingly.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Databricks and distributed computing (Spark), including performance optimization.
• Experience in deploying scalable ML/LLM systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Capability to independently design end-to-end AI solutions in response to client challenges.
