AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement scalable applications and services powered by AI.

• Convert unclear business challenges into effective technical solutions.

• Construct and uphold backend systems, APIs, integrations, and AI workflows.

• Collaborate across frontend, backend, cloud, and AI projects to provide comprehensive solutions.

• Quickly prototype and refine AI-driven products and internal tools.

• Contribute to architectural decisions, engineering standards, and reusable system frameworks.

• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical growth within the team.

• Promote enhancements in scalability, reliability, performance, and developer experience.

• Work closely with stakeholders to balance business requirements, technical trade-offs, and project timelines.

• Continuously assess and integrate emerging AI tools, frameworks, and engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant professional experience in Python and backend engineering.

• Proficiency in designing and constructing scalable APIs and distributed systems.

• Practical experience in developing AI/LLM-powered applications or automation workflows.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.

• Frontend experience with React or similar technologies is an advantage.

• Exposure to Snowflake or contemporary data platforms is advantageous.

• Strong grasp of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.

• Ability to manage uncertainty and quickly adjust to evolving environments.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical projects is appreciated.

• An AI-first mindset with a keen interest in utilizing AI tools to enhance development workflows.

• Proficiency in English at an advanced level is necessary for daily interactions with global teams and stakeholders.
