AI Engagement Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full responsibility for the delivery of AI transformation projects as the sole accountable lead, overseeing everything from initial scoping discussions to SOW, kickoff, execution, closure, and expansion, while ensuring alignment with client objectives and forgd's standards of excellence.

• Convert vague inputs (customer presentations, proposal drafts, discovery notes, scoping discussions) into structured engagement plans that the architect team can effectively implement.

• Oversee engagement scope, timeline, budget, resource distribution, and stakeholder communication to guarantee timely and high-quality delivery.

• Collaborate with Anthropic's customer success and account teams to coordinate efforts on shared clients, ensuring that forgd engagements lead to sustained Claude activation and growth in usage.

• Foster expansion within the accounts you manage.

• Cultivate relationships with customer stakeholders, ranging from individual contributors to engineering leadership.

• Lead the scoping, pricing, and SOW creation for new opportunities with GTM, translating expressed customer needs into a priced, sequenced engagement plan that the architect team can execute.

• Develop forgd's delivery framework by creating templates, methodologies, and processes that enhance our capability to deliver consistent, high-quality results—this is a foundational role where your contributions will directly influence our operations and growth.

• Travel to customer locations (10–20%) for workshops, key milestones, and relationship building.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in engagement management or technology consulting, preferably in a single-threaded engagement-lead model where one individual oversees the customer from scoping to closure.

• Proven history of managing enterprise engagements from start to finish.

• Demonstrated capability to develop and scale delivery processes—you've authored playbooks rather than merely following them.

• Strong enthusiasm for the future of software development and a genuine excitement about how AI is transforming the engineering discipline.

• Experience in managing executive client relationships with outstanding communication skills for both technical and business audiences.

• Exceptionally high level of agency; capable of functioning independently in complex, dynamic environments.

• Technical fluency—you can engage credibly with engineers and have a solid understanding of AI/ML concepts.
