AI Enablement Specialist Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct research on specific business workflows to identify areas where AI tools can minimize friction or enhance output quality.

• Develop straightforward automations and prompt-based tools with close supervision, refining them based on user feedback from the teams involved.

• Participate in coaching sessions with members of the business team and assist in facilitating practical experience with AI tools.

• Keep organized documentation for tools, workflows, and team insights, ensuring the team's knowledge base remains up-to-date and easily accessible.

• Assess new AI tools and platforms, providing clear and concise summaries regarding their functionality and relevance to Kong's requirements.

• Undertake a designated capstone project: design and implement a functional AI tool or workflow enhancement for a specific Kong business team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related discipline.

• Regular, hands-on experience with AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) and a genuine curiosity about their underlying mechanisms.

• Excellent writing abilities: able to explain the functionality of a tool, its significance, and usage in a way that non-technical colleagues can comprehend.

• Eagerness to ask questions, follow instructions, and come prepared.

• Any exposure to APIs, scripting, or automation tools (like Python, JavaScript, n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar) — even through coursework or personal projects.

• Previous internship or project experience in a technology, operations, or data-related position.

• Familiarity with common enterprise platforms such as Okta, Slack, Google Workspace, or Jira.

• Interest in API management, developer tools, or how AI models integrate into enterprise systems — knowledge of Kong Konnect is a plus.
