This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Facilitate cross-functional evaluation and review of AI-driven solutions involving clinical, operational, technical, compliance, privacy, legal, and security teams.
• Direct the implementation of the enterprise AI governance framework and manage the complete AI lifecycle.
• Keep abreast of changing AI regulations and industry best practices, translating these requirements into program and control improvements.
• Assist the AI governance council, Clinical/Business AI steering committees, and executive oversight.
• Ensure AI projects encompass documented use cases, architecture assessments, risk evaluations, data lineage, bias analysis, and control frameworks.
• Promote collaboration among stakeholders across the enterprise to align governance with committee co-chairs and senior leaders.
• Sustain the enterprise AI inventory with traceability, documentation standards, model metadata, and readiness for audits.
• Establish technical governance controls, which include model validation standards, monitoring obligations, performance thresholds, and change-management procedures.
• Lead sessions with business and technical teams to clarify requirements and ensure consistency.
• Supervise model monitoring, drift detection, incident response, and remediation tracking.
• Deliver executive reports on AI risk posture, safety, adoption, performance, and overall enterprise impact.
• Offer technical and governance advice regarding lifecycle expectations, documentation standards, and risk management controls.
• Develop and revise AI policies, standards, and acceptable-use guidelines.
• Spearhead enablement programs, training, and communications on AI policies, risks, and best practices.
• Promote AI literacy, responsible use practices, and change management initiatives across Franciscan Alliance.
• A bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Public Health, or a related discipline is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of program management experience in data governance, analytics, information services, or a related field is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in establishing and scaling program, governance, or oversight processes within a developing data and/or AI portfolio is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in measuring and reporting on AI performance, safety, value, and risk throughout the AI lifecycle is required.
• Proficiency in data governance frameworks, principles of data quality, data privacy laws, and AI ethics is essential.
• Strong experience in program/portfolio management within the IT healthcare sector is required.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement governance frameworks and operational structures from inception is necessary.
• A master's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years managing AI, analytics, or model-based systems within healthcare or other regulated sectors is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience using healthcare AI governance frameworks and regulatory standards such as NIST, ISO, FDA, and HIPAA is preferred.
