AI-Directed Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Overseeing the complete delivery process of features from concept through demonstration to production, encompassing backend, frontend, and deployment.

• Utilizing AI tools to create code, APIs, user interfaces, SQL queries, infrastructure configurations, and workflows.

• Breaking down product requirements into tasks that can be executed by AI.

• Validating, testing, and solidifying the outputs generated by AI.

• Configuring and deploying services built using Kubernetes and Docker.

• Managing throughput and cycle time for your designated workstreams.

• Fostering continuous improvement in AI-driven development methodologies, prompts, and tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundational knowledge in software engineering (APIs, distributed systems, debugging, data flow management).

• Versatility across the full stack — adept at transitioning between backend services, user interfaces, and deployment configurations within a single day.

• Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes (or a readiness to learn quickly); capable of debugging a malfunctioning pod, interpreting a manifest, and implementing a Helm change.

• Proven experience in utilizing AI coding tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) to deliver tangible results.

• Keen attention to detail when reviewing AI outputs — particularly for nuanced correctness, security, or deployment concerns.

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly evolving environments.

• Preference for delivering functional software over achieving perfect design.

• Systems thinking — comprehending how components function together at scale.

• Openness to challenge both human and AI-generated assumptions.

• Strong written communication skills — effective prompting is akin to writing.
